Invented by DuPont™ Corian®, is a non-porous, homogeneous material composed of 1/3 acrylic resin  (polymethylmethacrylate or PMMA) and 2/3 natural minerals. The main mineral is Aluminium trihydrate  (ATH) derived from bauxite, the material from which aluminium is obtained.
